Nature is an image.
Nature’s Dialogue is constant.
Nature is evasive.
Nature’s Dialogue is eternal.
Nature is persisting.
Nature is connectivity.
Nature’s Dialogue is creation.
Nature is one living, breathing system. Nature is an organism.
Nature’s Dialogue is fulfilling.
Nature’s Dialogue is adaptation.
Nature’s Dialogue is the originator of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD).
Nature is a dance, and its dialogue is choreographed.

On occasion of Nature’s Dialogue, the 2024 Juried Student Show, several departments and courses at UTC are partnering to build a truly student-driven group exhibition experience, and experiential learning opportunity, with the ICA. This year’s theme was collectively written and chosen by the 16 students enrolled in UTC Honors College course UHON3620: What is Contemporary Art at UTC? taught by ICA Director Rachel Waldrop. The exhibition’s call for artists and selection/review process will be driven by the Honors students, and installed in partnership with Department of Art Head Angie To’s students.
”For Nature’s Dialogue, some ideas and topics that we would like to see artwork reflect are: love, time, effort, motivations, toxicity, growth, consumption, rebirth, resilience, symbiosis, spirituality, and beauty/appreciation. We are excited to review your artwork and develop this exhibition with the UTC Department of Art!”
